Real Madrid s Martin Odegaard will likely remain at Real Sociedad for the 2020/21 season, according to club president Jokin Aperribay.
The 21-year-old went to Sociedad on a season-long loan last summer, which is his third temporary move away from Santiago Bernabeu since he arrived to the club in 2015. Reportedly, there is an option for the deal to be extended for another term. Speaking to Radio Euskadi a few days ago (via ), Aperribay revealed that Sociedad want to keep the services of the talented Norwegian attacking midfielder, and that they hope they will be able to. He also says that the decision will be up to the player himself.
Odegaard played a total of 28 games in all competitions for Sociedad this season, netting eight goals and assisting seven more. His contribution to the team reaching the Copa del Rey final was immense, but Aperribay is very skeptic about the game, in which they were supposed to battle Athletic Bilbao for the trophy, being played at all.
